Mississippi Power filed on Monday, May 10, for a motion to reconsider for the Kemper County IGCC Project in response to the Mississippi Public Service Commission's (PSC) Order on Thursday, April 29, 2010. That Order contained conditions making financing and constructing the plant impossible.
The request, filed yesterday afternoon, contains a brief on why the conditions in the April 29 Order would not allow the company to act in a fiscally responsible manner. The motion also includes an update on the parameters of the project, as well as protections for our customers which we asked the Commission to consider.
The Mississippi Power filing is posted on the PSC's website.
