Standard rates
Our standard rates are designed to offer savings to those customers who practice efficient use of power. This generally relates to minimizing the demand for power in kilowatts - caused by the amount of equipment turned on at one time - in relation to the total amount of energy in kilowatt-hours used during the month. So the more a customer controls demand, the more decrease in unit costs are provided by our standard rates. The two standard pricing options we currently offer are the General Service (GS) and Large General Service (LGS) rates. Your type of business, the amount of energy you require, and other factors determine which of these rates is best for you. Call us and we can help you determine the right option for your business needs.

A majority of commercial customers have needs for space cooling and heating, water heating, or other types of heating for business processes. Those customers who install electric equipment to meet these needs can qualify for rate discounts under our electric heating rates General Service (GSAE) and Large General Service Heating (LGS-EH). Our representatives can assist you in choosing the right size and type electric equipment to accomplish this, from energy efficient heat pumps to high efficiency electric boilers.

Our Large General Service Time of Use (LGS-TOU) rate benefits larger customers with certain load patterns or those who have the flexibility to shift usage to off-peak periods. If your business can operate during the evenings, nights or weekends, or if your business experiences its heaviest energy usage during those times you could realize savings with the LGS-TOU rate. Contact us to discuss if this type rate is appropriate for your operation.
