U.S. Secretary of Energy and international energy leaders toured Kemper facility. In a previous tour, American Coalition for Clean Coal Electricity and minority legislators from Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia recently also visited the facility. The 9 million-pound dragline is walked to the pit and begins mining. The final transmission line that will carry electricity created at the facility was energized.
