If you’ve walked into a Customer Service office over the last couple weeks, you probably noticed an increased presence of energy efficiency experts.
Employees recently began a Customer Service Center “blitz” with the goal of reaching out to customers directly to provide information on the benefits of energy efficiency and programs to which they may be eligible.
“We want customers to know that we have a number of tools, programs and services available for them to get the most out of their energy dollar,” Marketing Principal Chad Ihrig said.
From February through April, employees are setting up information booths at higher-traffic offices throughout the service territory. They plan to complete about 30 office visits.
In addition to providing energy saving tips and answering questions, energy specialists are handing out company-branded compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs, energy saving collateral and brochures about programs for which customers may qualify.
“We are excited about the opportunity to help our customers connect with this information,” Marketing Analyst Gary Williams said. “Many customers don’t realize they have a lot of control over their energy usage, so it can help to know that incorporating just a few practices and installing some cost effective items can really help make a difference.”
