Do you have high blood pressure? Are you sure? Do you know your numbers?
There are three numbers that could save your life, and they’re not 9-1-1.
It’s important to know your blood pressure, weight and waist circumference. These numbers can be indicators of future health problems and can help predict if you are likely to develop heart problems, diabetes and other chronic illnesses.
February is Heart Health Month and today, Valentine’s Day, is a great time to take a step toward heart health. Taking action now is a great way to show your loved ones you truly care.
On-site heart health clinics are being offered to employees this month to help them be more informed on their stats and learn more about their health and how they can improve it or maintain it.
“I came to take the opportunity to check my blood pressure,” said Gerry Ann Holt, budget analyst. “Plus, this is so convenient.”
Making simple changes can improve your quality of life. Get and stay active, eat better, lose weight if you need to, and if you smoke, stop smoking. Your heart and your family will thank you.
