Annie McMillan, a District Manager in the Pine Belt Division, has been with Mississippi Power for two years.
McMillan provides a number of services to residential, commercial and industrial customers in Forrest, Perry, Wayne and Greene counties.
“I enjoy the interaction I get with elected officials and customers throughout our service footprint,” she said. “No two days are alike.”
McMillan is highly active in volunteering in the community and at True Light Missionary Baptist Church in Hattiesburg.
“The Deaconess Ministry at my church co-founded a clothes closet to assist people that find themselves in need,” she said. “Early on, we discovered that we received plenty of donations of women’s and children’s clothes and accessories, but needed to find a way to encourage more donations for men. We partnered with a national men’s clothing chain (Men’s Warehouse) a few years ago to help in that effort.”
Now in its eighth year, the church’s clothes closet also donates apparel to other non-profits with the stipulation that the items are to be donated and not sold.
“This partnership provides an opportunity for us to serve the entire family structure in the true spirit of giving,” McMillan said.
She is married to Dennis McMillan and they have three adult children – Broderick, Brian and Briana. She has two grandchildren – Leah and McKenna.
