Mississippi Power volunteer efforts highlight MLK activities

Mississippi Power continued to celebrate the legacy of Dr. martin Luther King Jr. by serving the community.

At Henry Beck Park in Biloxi, 25 Community Connection volunteers were on hand at the Coastal Women’s Center to paint, replant the community garden and install a new ramp to the gazebo.

At Johnette Galloway Park in Wiggins, volunteers installed benches, painted and cleaned around the park.

At the Fieldhouse for the Homeless in Hattiesburg, volunteers helped residents move into the complex, assisting staff with reorganizing offices and cooking lunch for residents, staff and volunteers.

These efforts added to the work volunteers in the Meridian area performed on Jan. 15 at Parkview Elementary School.
