Ocean Springs outage update

At approximately 6:30 p.m., Mississippi Power experienced equipment failure that caused a loss of service to approximately 6,200 customers in Ocean Springs.

We were able to re-route power to approximately 1,100 customers within 30 minutes of the incident.

By 8:15 p.m., service was restored to all Mississippi Power customers in Ocean Springs.

With severe weather still expected throughout the night, we continue to have crews on standby to safely and quickly respond.
