Pascagoula Engineering Team Leader Ann Jackson has a new title — mom

Ann Jackson is the engineering team leader at the Pascagoula Service Center and she has worked at Mississippi Power for two years.

“I’m responsible for all engineering in the Pascagoula and Moss Point areas,” Jackson said of her job. “This includes reviewing engineering work orders, assisting with engineering training and working closely with the line crew supervisor. We provide service to all customer classifications served from the distribution system. What defines our success as a team is safety, customer value and reliability.

“One of my passions is training newer employees. That’s probably the most enjoyable thing I do at work.”

Jackson graduated from the University of South Alabama in 2006 and worked at Alabama Power as a distribution engineer before coming to Mississippi Power.

Last summer, she got a new title – mom.

Jackson and her husband Jason welcomed Catherine Ramsey (“Cate”) to the family on July 17.

“It’s been an exciting time for our family,” she said.

In addition to being a new mother and her work at the company, Jackson enjoys running.

She recently ran in the Turkey 10-miler in Creola, Ala. She has also participated in 13 half-marathons and three marathons.
