Customer Service Representative means more to Abra Taylor than just a title or a job.

For him, it’s a call to service whether he is at or away from the Biloxi Customer Service Office.

“My job consists of assisting customers with electrical service issues, billing inquiries, collection inquiries, marketing and sales,” said Taylor, who’s been with the company for three and a half years. “The most interesting part of my work is having a solution or finding a solution to better a customer issue.”

Taylor is also making great strides with his non-profit organization that mentors young men ages 13-18 called The League of Distinguished Gentlemen.

“The League of Distinguished Gentlemen is a youth leadership instructional program for male students in middle and high school,” Taylor said. “The league’s mission is to empower, encourage and educate young men through various resources.

“Those involved will be exposed to educational, social, cultural and civic activities. The objective of the league is to help create structure for young men and put them on the right path to success.”

When he’s not mentoring young men, he’s spending time with his wife Bianca and three children — Abra Jr. (10), Kayden (3) and Aubree (6 months).

Taylor also enjoys exercising and watching sports.
