While people across South Mississippi have moved to telecommuting during the COVID-19 crisis, a daily dose of exercise is still recommended to stay healthy.
Taking a break from the screen to go for a walk or playing outside with your children will help you avoid being too stagnant.
If your daily walk happens to occur when it’s dark out, and you notice a streetlight on the Mississippi Power’s lines isn’t working, there are two easy ways to report a streetlight outage – the company’s online outage map and at mississippipower.com.
Both options allow you to pinpoint the location of a streetlight outage. An electric serviceman in the area of the outage will receive notice and the light will be replaced.
“This is an easy way for Mississippi Power customers to keep their neighborhoods and businesses brightly lit, which increases the safety factor for everyone,” spokesman Jeff Shepard said.
