Nov. 1 Hurricane Zeta morning update

Below is an update on Mississippi Power’s Hurricane Zeta restoration effort as of 7 a.m., Nov. 1.

Restoration is complete in D’Iberville and Moss Point. It is 90 percent complete in Biloxi and Ocean Springs.

Significant progress was made throughout the evening as our night shift crews worked safely. We start Day Four with approximately 23,000 customers without service. The majority of those outages are between Biloxi and the Bay/Waveland area.

Our nearly 1,000-member Storm Team continues to work safely around the clock.

Mississippi Power is deploying outside line crew resources from 18 states around the country such as North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, Florida, Tennessee, Missouri, Virginia, Ohio and Arkansas.

Estimated restoration time of power restored to 95% of customers is by midnight on Monday night, Nov. 2.

Three Coastal Mississippi staging sites were mobilized for safe and efficient deployment of storm personnel including, linemen, tree trimmers, engineers, logistics and security.
