As Mississippi Power crews continue to work safely to restore power to customers across the service territory, resources from 18 states are actively assisting the company’s restoration efforts.
The workforce of more than 1,000 can be seen working in multiple areas in the Coast Division.
“We’re extremely thankful for the assistance that has poured in to help our customers,” said Storm Logistics Director Cedrick Hurd. “This partnership is crucial as we rely on additional manpower to energize our customers more quickly following a large storm event.”
Currently, states that have sent resources include the Carolinas, Florida, Georgia, New York and Illinois.
