Mississippi Power CEO Anthony Wilson was recognized Tuesday with the Pat Santucci Spirit of the Coast Award at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce’s annual luncheon at the Beau Rivage.
“This is a tremendous honor,” Wilson said to the crowd of about 600 in accepting the award. “To join the list of such distinguished people who have won this award is very rewarding.
“Our company and our dedicated employees are very involved in the communities we are blessed to serve, and a lot of our activities are in partnership with the Chamber. We have proven that working together we can make a tremendous difference in Coastal Mississippi as we build on these relationships.”
The Spirit of the Coast Award is the Chamber’s most prestigious award. It is presented to the individual who has made contributions of significance in the field of business.
“Anthony Wilson is the epitome of the community leader,” said Coast Chamber CEO Adele Lyons. “Though his plate is full of many corporate responsibilities, he continues to give his time and expertise to many organizations in Mississippi.”
