Mississippi Power, EnviroSpark partner to strengthen EV infrastructure

Mississippi Power and EnviroSpark have entered a mutually beneficial business partnership to increase infrastructure and use of electric vehicles in the company’s service territory.

Atlanta-based EnviroSpark is a nationally licensed general and electrical contractor specializing in EV charging design, installation, and operation. It provides electrical design, permitting, inspections, construction, and installation, as well as ongoing maintenance and management.

“We are excited to build this relationship with EnviroSpark,” said Rose Ann Pegoda, Mississippi Power’s Marketing team leader. “We share the mission of raising awareness of the benefits of electric vehicles and enhancing the availability of EV charging infrastructure.”

EnviroSpark has collaborated with Georgia Power since 2014 and is an industry leader in design, installation, and operation of EV charging solutions. 

Currently, there are just over 400 electric vehicles used in Mississippi Power’s service territory and about 3,200 statewide. About 40 percent of the state’s charging infrastructure is within the 23 counties the company serves in southeast Mississippi.

“We are a little ahead of the rest of the state when it comes to EV infrastructure and we have started working with EnviroSpark to identify potential locations for more growth in charging sites,” Pegoda said. “We know this win-win partnership will result in more customers for us and more business for them.”
