Hall Timberlands CEO David Hall elected to Mississippi Power board of directors
Gulfport, Miss. – Mississippi Power announced today that David Hall, President and CEO of Hall Timberlands, has been elected to serve on the utility’s board of directors.
Hall Timberlands is a family-owned timber company headquartered in Meridian that has been in business for more than 85 years. The company owns more than 60,000 acres in East-Central Mississippi. Hall has served as CEO since 2003 and assumed the role of President and CEO in 2016.
“David is a highly regarded businessman and leader that is dedicated to serving Mississippi,” said Mississippi Power Chairman, President and CEO Anthony Wilson. “He’s been a longtime steward of his family business and his community. I know his leadership and business acumen will be great assets to our board of directors.”
Hall is a Registered Forester in the state of Mississippi. In March of 2021, Governor Tate Reeves appointed Hall to the Mississippi Board of Registration for Foresters. He also serves as a Trustee of the Forest Landowner Foundation, board member and executive committee member of the Forest Landowner’s Association, on the Advisory Board for the Department of Forestry at Mississippi State University and is a former President of the Mississippi Forestry Association.

Hall also serves on numerous community boards including the Wesley House Community Center in Meridian, the East Mississippi Business Development Corporation, the Mississippi Children’s Museum-Meridian, Citizens National Bank and the Mississippi State University Foundation. He serves on the executive committee and as the Chair of the Real Estate Committee for the Mississippi State University Foundation, which oversees the management of approximately 30,000 acres of timber and row crop land.
He holds both a Bachelor of Science in Forest Management and a Master of Business Administration from Mississippi State University.
A lifelong resident of Meridian, Hall is a member of Central United Methodist Church of Meridian. He is an Eagle Scout and serves as Vice President of Properties for the Choctaw Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He and his wife Isabelita have two sons, Matthew and Christopher.
