Mississippi Power launches new online marketplace for customers

Gulfport, Miss. – Mississippi Power has launched its new online marketplace that customers can use to jumpstart energy savings this summer.

The Mississippi Power Marketplace is customers’ one-stop shop for energy-efficient products. The site allows customers to purchase smart thermostats and receive an instant rebate at checkout. Customers can also access Mississippi Power’s energy savings toolkit, learn more energy saving tips and explore the company’s additional rebate and incentive programs.

“We are always looking for ways to help our customers be more energy efficient and maximize their energy savings,” said Mississippi Power Spokeswoman Kaila Moran Griffith. “Our smart thermostat rebate program alone saved customers more than 280,000 kilowatt hours in 2023. We hope that number will increase with the introduction of our online marketplace.”

Customers can visit mississippipowermarketplace.com to shop and learn more about the energy efficiency products being offered. There are more than 15 options of smart thermostats to choose from with prices starting at $89 and an instant rebate of $100 applied at checkout. Featured brands include Google Nest and Honeywell Home. When making a purchase, customers will need to provide their account number or address.

“Shopping these products online, directly through Mississippi Power, means customers will receive immediate savings,” added Moran Griffith. “Our hope is that customers will find tips and tools that make their household more energy efficient while staying within their budget.”
