Gulfport, Miss. - Energy Efficiency Day was celebrated on Wednesday, Oct. 1, at each Mississippi Power bill payment office.
The day is nationally recognized and was created to share tips, tools and stories that promote the multiple benefits of energy efficiency, from lower costs to improved homes.
Members of Mississippi Power's Energy Efficiency department set up stations in the Gulfport, Hattiesburg and Meridian bill payment offices to speak directly with customers about the importance of energy efficiency and easy ways to save by changing their daily habits.
"Energy Efficiency Day was a wonderful opportunity for us to engage with our communities and help our customers discover simple, effective ways to reduce their energy usage,” said Energy Efficiency Supervisor Salisha Farve. “We enjoy getting out there, meeting people face-to-face and sharing easy tips that can make a real difference in their daily lives.”
