Mississippi Power, Single Stop partner to make financial assistance more accessible for all residential customers

Gulfport, Miss. – Mississippi Power recently announced a partnership with Single Stop to help all residential customers more easily find financial assistance.

Through Single Stop’s easy-to-use online platform, Mississippi Power customers can now quickly identify which local, state or federal assistance programs they may qualify for based on a free, private questionnaire. The screening goes beyond utility bill assistance, allowing customers to find help for household budget items including groceries, healthcare, childcare and more.

"Mississippi Power is committed to supporting the long-term financial well-being of our customers by making it easier to access resources that they may not know about or realize they are eligible to receive," said Director of Customer Solutions Bryan Coley. “We recognize that managing a household budget involves much more than paying an electric bill. Single Stop provides a simple way for customers to explore programs that can assist their overall financial well-being.”

While Mississippi Power has long offered financial assistance programs for customers, the launch of Single Stop reflects the company’s broader commitment to helping customers navigate an increasingly complex financial environment. By simplifying access to information and providing a convenient starting point for exploring available resources, Mississippi Power is making it easier for our customers to make informed decisions that benefit their households. Customers can find information about the company’s own financial assistance program, Project SHARE, which is funded by Mississippi Power employees and customers, and other programs including Bill Discount, Bill Extender and LIHEAP, a federally-funded program that helps low-income households with their energy bills by visiting the company’s Financial Assistance webpage.

“Mississippi Power believes strong communities begin with financially healthy households,” added Coley. “This partnership reflects our commitment to supporting the total well-being of the communities we serve. By helping customers better understand the opportunities available to them, we are empowering families to improve their financial position, create greater stability and participate in the long-term prosperity of our region.”
