Mississippi Power recognized as Family-Forward Workplace by MELA

Gulfport, Miss. - Mississippi Power was recognized as a Family-Forward Workplace during the Mississippi Early Learning Alliance’s (MELA) second annual Big Voices for Little Children event last month in Jackson.

The company was honored for its commitment to supporting employees and families through workplace policies that help employees balance work and caregiving responsibilities.

Mississippi Power received recognition in the categories of Flexible Work & Supportive Environments and Paid Leave for Employees. The recognition highlighted family-focused benefits, including paid leave for the birth or adoption of a child and dependent care spending accounts.

Vice President of Human Resources, Brady Powers, accepted the award and said the recognition reinforces the company’s commitment to Empower Employees.
